1 in 10 Lancashire pupils speak English as second language

LANCASHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM–One in 10 Lancashire primary school pupils speaks English as a second language, Government figures reveal. The statistics, released by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, show that 7,331 primary students – or 9.7 per cent – speak another language at home. And the figures also reveal that at 55 of the county’s 614 schools, more than full story
