Immersion measure raises questions

ROSEBURG, OR–Her pigtails swung with each sharp jab as Emily Morales punched the air trying to get her teacher’s attention. “They all have pointys,” the eager 6-year-old told Christina Byrd, describing similarities of the shape flash cards Byrd held up. Morales and five other Rose Elementary students huddled around a small table last Wednesday as Byrd drilled them on “alike and different.” full story
